Or how about you don’t. Not with me, anyway. Look, I get it, you want to get good grades, and sure, it might help you to spend time with someone you want to emulate so they can be “a good influence,” but please keep your underachieving cooties away from me.

Thing is, the membrane is permeable both ways. Sure, you might get a boost hanging with me and soaking up some workaholic vibes, but I’m going to find you distracting.

You’re nice and all, but I just want to study in peace. For real.
