_Hi Page, I read that you’re a gamer and one of your projects is a PC game that revolves around polyamory. That sounds exciting, but I can’t wait for that. Do you know of any games that are currently out that are inclusive of polyamory or at least let you date multiple people at once? _

Yes, in fact, I do! Here are some that are currently available.

Azure Dreams
#

An oldie but a goodie, Azure Dreams is a surprisingly fun game. It’s a turn-based, roguelike RPG. I’ve personally played the crap out of it. Essentially, you play as a young boy in a desert town that has a mysterious tower in the middle of it. Your adventurer father left you a monster when he passed away, and you’re tasked with exploring the tower. Along the way, you find eggs that hatch into new monsters, discover treasures that help develop your town, and work on dating the girls that live in town.

All of them.

Yes, Azure Dreams is one of the few games I’ve played with dating sim elements that doesn’t limit you at all. Your conquests all move into the house with you at once, and there doesn’t seem to be an awful lot of jealousy or tension.

And I’ve never played the Japanese version, but apparently that one allows you also to romance the neighbor boy.

Originally released in the US in 1998 on Playstation, Azure Dreams was released on Game Boy Color in 1999.

The Sims 3 and The Sims 4 (Kinda)
#

In The Sims 3, there’s a lifetime reward called “Stone Hearted.” It requires 10,000 Happiness Points (an in-game currency that you earn by keeping your Sim in a good mood), and with it, a Sim won’t feel sadness or negative emotions. And this same perk will prevent your Sim from having jealous reactions or freaking out. This enables Sims to date multiple people harmoniously. It’s important to note that with in-game mechanics, your Sim will only be able to marry one other person. However, you can move in as many adults as you want into a home and even have kids.

In The Sims 4, there is a reward trait called “Player” in the Serial Romantic Aspiration which essentially does the same thing.

Unfortunate naming on both, but apparently you can make pretty interesting poly families in game.

Stardew Valley
#

Stardew Valley is a fun little simulation game where you play as a farmer who is new to town (Harvest Moon style). Although you can only marry one of your love interests, you can absolutely romance multiple at once.

And when I play, I’m pretty damn shameless about it.

The game originally came out on PC but is now also out on PS4 Xbox One, and even Nintendo Switch.

Fable 3
#

I’m yet to play Fable 3 (I did play the first title in the series ages ago), but it’s an action roleplaying game where the choices you make shape the life you live.

Not only can you date multiple people in this game, but you can actually marry multiple spouses. And you don’t just have to pick one gender. You can have a mix of husbands and wives.

Fallout 4
#

Fallout 4 is an action role-playing game set in a post-apocalyptic world. It’s a sandbox environment where the player can wander around without being restrained by the plot.

You can date multiple people at the same time in Fallout 4 rather harmoniously. Fallout 4 is currently available on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.

Mass Effect: Andromeda
#

Mass Effect is a series of action role-playing third-person shooters set in space. The original game came out over a decade ago. Mass Effect: Andromeda, the fourth game in the series, came out in 2017.  And this installment allows you to date multiple people.

Now, not all the characters like it, but some are cool with it.

Mass Effect: Andromeda is available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Persona 5
#

And last but not least is Persona 5, an RPG. I love the Persona games and have played earlier games in the series (lost entire weeks on Persona 2, 3, and 4) and can confirm that a major mechanic of them is developing social relationships with other people — some of these romantic.

I’m yet to play the newest title but hear that in Persona 5 you can technically woo all of the love interests but that they do get tweaked out during a Valentine’s Day event when they all try to give you gifts (oops).

Persona 5 is currently available on PS3 and PS4.

Did I Miss Anything?
#

Of course these are just the games that I could think of off the top of my head. I’m sure others exist.

If there any other good ones I missed in this list, please feel free to let me know, either by commenting or via our contact form, so I can add them.
